Best-selling thriller author SJ Watson (above) will be one of the stars of a new writing workshop by boutique hotel chain Hotel du Vin.
Launched in partnership with Random House, the collaboration will include a series of writers’ courses hosted by top authors with the first one, an Introduction to Crime Writing, this September at Hotel du Vin Harrogate.
The event will be hosted by lecturer, playwright and author Henry Sutton (University of East Anglia) and Watson, author of Before I Go To Sleep.
The course is the first in a series which will cover a number of different genres as diverse as writing for children and Hammer Horror, each held in a different Hotel du Vin around the country.
As well as the workshops, Hotel du Vin will showcase selected books of the month for guests to purchase at a discounted rate. Plans are also in place for book tours, author events and more writing courses in 2014.
