Kids are being asked to choose their favourite places and activities in the UK for a new travel guide. Parkdean is launching ‘The UK, Our Way, next month – the first travel guide exclusively for children by children.
It aims to become the ultimate ‘rough guide’ for tiny travellers, giving unique insider knowledge on the perfect places for children to explore and enjoy during their break. The holiday park operator is asking children to nominate everything from their favourite place to holiday, best beach to build sandcastles to the best rock pools for hunting sea creatures and where to buy the most delicious ice-cream.
John Waterworth, Chief Executive of Parkdean said: “Our holiday parks are situated in some of the UK’s best holiday locations, ideal for exploring local beaches, towns and attractions. When it comes to visiting local attractions, it’s often the parents who get the say in where to go and what to do. We thought it was high time the kids got a look in on picking their dream destinations, which is why we’re asking for their help in creating this special guide.
“We’re really excited about it and I’m sure it will soon be viewed as a ‘rucksack essential’ for anyone planning the perfect UK family getaway this summer. It may also mean that parents no longer have to spend hours planning activities for the youngsters, as we will have done it for them!”
Children can contribute by visiting the Parkdean website at www.parkdean.com/ukourway and filling out a simple form. All kids will be entered into a free prize draw with one family winning a week’s holiday at one of Parkdean’s 24 parks.
