Love LEGO? Then visit Twycross Zoo this summer

If you love LEGO, you’ll love the new fantastic exhibition at Twycross Zoo in the Midlands.

BRICKLIVE Big Cats is open every day in the school summer holidays and joins a great line-up of attractions following the arrival of two new Sumatran tigers earlier this month.

The LEGO exhibition includes 12 superb models – and allows you to get up close to some of the world’s most magnificent felines!

The LEGO creations include lion cubs, Liam and Lita, Padma the Panther and Lenora the African leopard. Made from a total of almost 750,000 LEGO bricks, and taking the equivalent of one year four months to build, you will be astounded by the meticulous detail.

Big Cats are stealing the show this summer, following the arrival of the zoo’s newest residents, Jahly and Sialang, critically endangered Sumatran tigers. They are living in a state-of-the-art purpose built habitat, including an impressive 15-metre glass tunnel through the centre!

Also not to be missed are the beautiful Snow leopards and endangered Amur leopards, some of the rarest big cat species on the planet!

Karen Clarke, of Twycross Zoo, said: “This summer is a real milestone in our history as we welcome back Sumatran tigers as part of a vital European breeding programme to help to protect the critically endangered species. Providing visitors with a unique chance to also see the magnificent BRICKLIVE BIG CATS models is the icing on the cake to an already fabulous day out.”

Twycross Zoo is home to more than 500 animals from over 125 species and is the only place in the UK with the four great apes – chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans and bonobos.
