New guided tours for 2013

Whether you want to marvel at the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio or rumba in energetic Havana, The Travel Department has launched its first programme of guided holidays.

New itineraries and departures have been added to destinations ranging from Costa Brava to Cuba with flights from Gatwick and Manchester for the first time. Prices from £359 for a four-night tour of Barcelona, Montserrat and Costa Brava departing from Gatwick on March 18.

Holidaymakers who make a booking for a 2013 holiday before Sunday, December 16, will receive a £50 voucher off a second holiday – for themselves or a friend. The 10 new itineraries include:

Cuba: Enjoy a Mojito, explore Havana in a vintage car, take a boat trip through the Cueva del Indio (Indian Caves) or relax on a catamaran trip and swim with Dolphins in Varadero, on an 11-night trip. Return flights from Gatwick, four-star B&B and excursions included in the price of £2,039, departing May 20.

Argentina and Brazil: A 13-night trip offers you access to many iconic sights including Iguazu Falls and Christ the Redeemer statue (above) in Rio. You will also visit a typical Argentinian farmhouse and a Rio Carnival Show. Price includes return flights, accommodation in four star hotels and excursions. Departing from Gatwick on May 20, from £2,039 per person.

India – Splendours of Delhi, The Taj Mahal and Rajastan: Eleven nights exploring Agra Fort, The Taj Mahal, “The Pink City” of Jaipur and beautiful Lake Pichola. Prices start from £1,719, with departures in March, April and September including return flights, five-star accommodation and excursions.

Barcelona, Montserrat & the Costa Brava: Depart from Manchester on June 10 for a seven-night trip and stay half-board at the four-star Hotel Onabrava in Santa Susana from £699 per person. You will have guided excursions to Barcelona and Montserrat as well as visiting Figueras and Girona, including a visit to the Dali Museum.
