A plane called Neil! Really? I suppose we might all get used to it and the guy who gets his name on the new Thomson Dreamliner is absolutely delighted.
Neil Langstone from Birmingham won a competition – Your-Hols.com helped launch it last November – to find the best picture of a Thomson Dreamliner. The prize: You got your name on the plane and scooped a luxury holiday.
Neil said: “I’m absolutely over the moon that my photo has won the #787pics competition. To have my name displayed on a brand new Dreamliner will give me so much kudos – I can’t wait to let everyone know!
“I fell in love with the Dreamliner the first time I saw it at Birmingham airport. The sleek design and beautiful paint job seemed perfect for a photo and I tried to capture the entire aircraft to display the sheer size, scale and wingspan.”
Neil also wins a luxury holiday for two to the exclusive 5* Ambre Resort and Spa Thomson Couples hotel in Mauritius.
He added: “I will be taking my fiancée with me on the wonderful holiday to Mauritius, as she had to endure all of my previous statuses, shared posts and patience while I take photos for my Instagram account.”
More than 680 images were uploaded to Instagram by people hoping to have Thomson’s sixth Boeing 787 Dreamliner named after them.
