For a sunshine May Bank Holiday getaway, camping and mobile home operator Venue Holidays is offering seven-night family holidays from £199. Two adults and up to four children can stay seven nights in a tent at Valras Plage in Languedoc, France, from May 25 and the price includes a return midweek Dover/Calais ferry crossing.

The campsite is a 15-minute walk to the beach and facilities include an impressive swimming pool complex – with slides and chutes – football, tennis, cycle hire, games room and quad bikes. There’s also a bar and restaurant, along with a wine shop with regular tastings and gastronomic events.

A week at Playa de Pals on the Costa Brava (above) in Spain starting on May 25 in a three-bedroom mobile home –with air-con and decking – is now priced at £314, a reduction of £134, including the ferry crossing. The campsite has direct access to a large sandy beach and has pool, football, canoeing and tennis.

For those who prefer the Venetian Riviera, a seven-night holiday at Ca’Savio, from May 26, now costs £344, saving £83. This price includes accommodation in a two-bedroom air-conditioned mobile home with decking and the ferry crossing. Facilities at the campsite, a 40-minute ferry ride from Venice, include two swimming pool complexes and sports facilities.
