Sandy Balls’ £100,000 luxury lodges

Sandy Balls Sycamore Lodge

A New Forest holiday resort is reaping the rewards of spending £100,000 on new-style luxury lodges. Bookings are up and Sandy Balls is looking forward to a great summer.

The resort in the idyllic National Park is set in a private 120-acre estate with fabulous woodland walks, cycling and horseriding on the doorstep. It has invested more than £100,000 in the lodges to provide extra comfort, luxury and convenience – and has seen booking figures increase to 97 per cent occupancy so far this year. The lodges are also 48 per cent booked for the rest of 2013.

They have iPod docking stations, flat screen TVs in the lounge and bedroom plus lavish bathrooms with either a corner spa or free-standing roll-top bath and bathrobes have been added to a range of superior Sycamore Lodges and rustic Beech Retreats. There are also VIP touches, such as an earlier complimentary check-in time of 1.30pm.

Sandy Balls MD Iain Brown said: “We know how to deliver award-winning holidays for our guests who keep coming back for more. We have already announced a record year with an impressive growth in sales and these new touches are the icing on the cake.

“This investment in our Premium Lodges – and the early-season bookings boom it has already delivered – shows that we are providing all the luxury touches holidaymakers want. We want to stay at the top by offering the highest possible standards – and aim for another record in 2013.”

Sandy Balls has a Cycle Centre, indoor and outdoor pools, hair and beauty suite, Pizza in the Piazza, cosy Woodside Inn and convenient Country Store. There are also plenty of children’s activities on offer, from indoor crafts to combat games in the forest and kayaking on the river.

A four-night short break in a lodge sleeping four in June starts from £429.
