Go see Elton John at Bestival 2013. The singer, who is recovering from an appendicitis op, will be on stage on the Isle of Wight from September 5-8. Fatboy Slim and Snoop Dogg are also headlining at the event, named “Best Major Festival” at last year’s UK Festival Awards, as it celebrates its 10th birthday.
Other acts include Franz Ferdinand, Wu-Tang Clan, Bombay Bicycle Club and Sinead O’Connor, plus superstar DJs like Fabio & Grooverider, Carl Cox and Bestival’s very own Rob da Bank.
Ferry operator Wightlink has a range of ferry-inclusive ticket packages still available, priced from £211.85 per person for foot passengers or £224.18pp if four adults travel together in one car.
Bestival isn’t all about the music, and there are a host of other activities and shows for festival-goers, including films in the forest, alternative cabaret in the Grand Palace of Entertainment, Kawa Circus and Roundhouse Poetry Collective. As always, the fancy dress theme plays a big part and Bestival is pushing the boat out for its 10th birthday.
