I love this place – fabulous Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire. You can often think that a place labelled a country club, spa and hotel may be a bit stuffy.
But not Stoke Park. The 300-acre estate, with a 27-hole Championship course, has all the luxury you’ll need – but none of the pomp and ceremony… and the staff are fabulous.
Stoke Park has now got even better, its award-winning spa has just opened Spa Gardens featuring a hot tub, sauna, day beds, loungers and a Manu Nest (below, that’s a swinging chair to you and me) hanging from a Yew tree.
Spa manager Anna Thomas says: “We wanted to develop an outdoor spa experience at Stoke Park to take in the stunning surroundings that we are nestled in here.
“We get many guests coming to escape the city and what better way than to sit in a hot tub or sauna taking in 300 acres of beautiful parkland all around you.
“It is great for couples wanting to retreat, groups of friends who want to catch up or for guests who want to disappear for an indulgent day or R&R.”
The Spa Garden adds to the Stoke Park spa’s facilities including 11 treatment rooms, indoor heated pool, steam rooms, 13 tennis courts, state-of-the-art gym.
