Whether you’re a keen walker or want a gentle amble, you can get a short summer break from £149 per person (discounted from £299), including full-board accommodation.
Take your pick from a range of UK locations from the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the coast of Northumberland or Cornwall to the mountains of Wales and Scotland. You can choose between being guided by HF Holidays’ leaders on a guided walk, or going it alone on a self-guided country house escape.
Discounts include August bank holiday escapes to places, such as Dovedale in the Peak District. Book for a three-night country house escape departing Friday August 28 for £149 per person and visit nearby Chatsworth House, explore the limestone valley of Dove Dale with its famous stepping stones and discover the Tissington Trail.
For the same price, walkers can also enjoy a three-night country house escape, departing on Friday September 11, at Holnicote House (above) at Selworthy, a National Trust property on the Holnicote Estate in Exmoor National Park.
Guests can travel on Britain’s longest steam railway, visit Dunster Castle or Arlington Court, take a dip in the outdoor pool, spot an abundance of wildlife and enjoy nearby coastal views.
All breaks are full-board with home-cooked food using local produce and all houses are geared up to the needs of walkers with boot and drying rooms.
