She certainly had a lot to do with Andy Murray becoming a tennis champion, so one of your kids could follow in his footsteps. For Andy’s mum Judy Murray is running Junior Tennis Camps at a Portugal hotel.

The former Great British Federation Cup captain has teamed up with The Campus, Europe’s newest premier multi-sport and wellness resort at the five-star Quinta do Lago resort in the Algarve.

Quinta do Lago, one of the most highly regarded luxury golf and residential developments in Europe, is set among 2,000 acres of the picturesque Ria Formosa Natural Park. Judy will run four one-week long junior tennis camps over the next year and host some coach education workshops for the coaching team.

Judy’s first junior tennis camp is being held during half-term week from October 29 to November 2.

She said: “I’m delighted to have partnered with The Campus at Quinta do Lago and am looking forward to welcoming children of all ages and abilities to my inaugural tennis camp in October half-term.

“I understand very well what tennis will demand of a young player, so I focus on developing adaptable, problem-solving athletes. My philosophy is all about creating games and exercises that will do the teaching for me, so that players learn without realising.”
