The Trentham Gardens’ fairy trail

Trentham Fairies

There really are fairies at the bottom of the garden, honest. At Trentham Gardens there’s about to be another six to add to the nine that create the fabulous Fairies Trail – inspiring nymphs by local artist Robin Wright (above).

Tens of thousands of visitors have flocked to see them since their launch last autumn and the new metre-tall creations made from galvanised and stainless steel wire are being added at the gardens near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, just in time for Bank Holiday weekend.

“Poser” sits on the back of a bench so visitors can have they photos taken with her; “Dip” will fly over the face of the lake stroking the water with one hand and “Bridget” dangles above the bridge welcoming visitors into the gardens.  Others are set to swing under an oak tree in the Maze, strike a Spiderman-like pose at the end of the Trellis Walk and pose gracefully in a fountain.
