alva-tandoori

Alva Tandoori, Stirling, Scotland
Why? “The staff looked after us so well, we were made to feel very welcome. The food was amazing and the portions were plenty. I have been back three times this month already.”

Prithvi restaurant

Prithvi Restaurant, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Why? “The staff were very attentive and clearly very passionate about food. Starters of tandoori chicken in a nut crust and homemade Indian cheese were lovely, and the mains (lamb shank with a curry jus and king prawns in a lovely sauce) were just as good. The cooking is extremely clever with a very skilful use of spices to impart warmth and depth of flavour without it being overpowering.”

Zeera Spice

Zeera Spice Lounge, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire
Why? “Since our first visit three months ago we just cannot get enough. We have now visited seven or eight times and all I can say is that it just gets better. The service and attention to detail offered is way above any other we have experienced.”

Yasmins fresh-prawns

Yasmins, Newcastle Emlyn, Wales
“My friends and I visited Yasmins tonight and we were blown away by how attentive and polite the staff were. They went out of their way to make our night perfect. The food is great and very fresh. They have definitely earned their ranking as best restaurant in Newcastle Emlyn.”

vadah

Vadah, Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham
Why? “This has to be the best Indian Restaurant in the vicinity. Flavours just go on developing as you savour, even the very hot dishes are flavoursome. We will be regular visitors.”

Shalimar restaurant

The Shalimar, Matlock, Derbyshire
Why? “This is the second time my fiancée and I have visited Shalimar. This is the second time the service has been exceptional. The second time the staff have been polite, courteous and friendly and the second time the food has been brilliant. I cannot rate Shalimar highly enough. A must for any Indian lover.”

Copper and Spices
