If you fancy an American trip in 2013, this could be right up your street: Virgin Holidays has launched a new USA & Canada brochure for next year.
Packed with ideas for stateside holidays, the brochure contains all the traditional favourites like Vegas, Florida and New York with new destinations including home of the re-made TV series Dallas (above) in Texas, Atlantic City (the Vegas of the east coast) and Plantation Country, Louisiana.
Wild West holidays in Texas include Austin, locally promoted as the ‘Live Music Capital of the World’ with its vibrant music scene or San Antonio with its mixture of Hispanic and German heritage and alfresco dinning. Also featured are Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth and Galveston. The program includes three self-drive holidays in set hotels.
Five hotels have been added to the program in Atlantic City. Easily accessible from New York City, Atlantic City is full of famous Vegas hotels (and their casinos) along with a beach and Boardwalk. Brand new is the 5V Revel, which only opened its doors this year and has already hosted shows from acts such as Madonna and Lady Gaga.
Plantation Country in Louisiana is on offer for those looking for a real feel of the Deep South. Two breathtaking plantations have been added to the programme, which have been lovingly restored and now open their doors to overnight guests. Although guests are unable to stay in the mansions themselves, both Inn at Houmas House and Oak Alley Plantation offer accommodation in the grounds.
