For those of us who couldn’t fly to Brazil for the Rio 2016 Olympics – just a week away – this has to be the next best thing.
If you’re in London, head to the Embassy of Brazil to watch the games on large screens between August 6-21. Admission to the Lounge is free and it’s open between 10am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday.
The kick-off to the Rio Olympics take place on August 5 at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The Lounge will also showcase the “marvellous city”, presenting tourist attractions of the State of Rio de Janeiro with its amazing coastline, historical cities and tropical forests.
As the first country to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in South America, the Brazilian city will host more than 10,000 Olympic athletes and 4,000 Paralympic athletes from around the world.
The Rio Olympic Lounge at the Embassy, 14-16 Cockspur Street, is close to Trafalgar Square.
