Why you’ll love us by Thomas Cook boss

Thomas Cook is fighting back with more brand hotels and extra flights to become the UK’s “most loved” travel company. They are expanding SENTIDO – their collection of four and five-star hotels for singles, couples and small families such as at Tunisia’s Djerba beach (above) – to 44 hotspot properties.

There will be 22 Smartline budget hotels available for families next summer and the adults-only Sunprime is a range of four to five-star hotels at top locations. There are also new wedding venues, including the Mamma Mia church on Skopelos, and lots of new hotels at destinations from Tenerife to Florida.

Thomas Cook is also offering more flight flexibility. This winter you’ll be able to book a Caribbean package holiday and fly on a Thomas Cook plane from Manchester to Barbados, Antigua and St Lucia. A link with Flybe also connects 12 regional airports to Manchester and Gatwick. Another good move is that if flying Thomas Cook to Orlando from March next year, you’ll arrive at the more central International airport and not Sanford.

UK boss Peter Fankhauser, who has had to oversee shop closures and redundancies, said: “Thomas Cook is back with exciting new products. People want the best holiday they can get and we are here to give them it. We want to be the most loved and most profitable travel company in the UK.”
