As we enter the New Year, the London hotel with some of our favourite views in the capital, the Park Plaza County Hall (above), has issued a list of odd requests put to its concierge staff in 2012. They include:
A couple of guests who wanted to travel by boat to Buckingham Palace and were astounded when told that not only could they not get there on water but that it didn’t have a moat either,
A young female guest who wanted to skydive into Trafalgar Square,
A guest who wanted to courier pet food over from Egypt for their pampered cat.
The hotel’s general manager Simon Mahon said: “We love taking care of our guests and nothing makes us happier than getting great seats to a musical or making reservations at a restaurant that a guest hasn’t been able to get through to, but this year we’ve had some extremely interesting requests! We’re looking forward to seeing what 2013 brings, our guests never fail to surprise us.”
