Beat the airlines with a bag that changes size

It’s not just the ridiculous luggage regulations that annoy us about airlines – but the fact that they all have different ones, meaning you can buy a regulation carry-on bag for one flight that won’t be allowed on another.

Well Mike Davey has come up with a solution – a bag that is not only superlight but can change sizes depending on who you fly with.

The Flylite Multibag’s dimensions can be changed to create six different size configurations by opening and closing three expansion zips.

With all zips closed, the bag is 55 x 35 x 20 cms but the bag can expand to 55 x 45 x 25 cms once all the zips are opened. While that not sound like much of a leap the packing capacity jumps from 35 litres in the smallest configuration to 56 litres in the biggest.

The bag weights 2.3 kgs, has a retractable metal telescopic handle mechanism and will foldaway into about a quarter of its fully opened size.

Available from flylite.uk.com for £65.
