Discover New England … on the Isle of Wight

curlew

You don’t have to head over the Atlantic for a flavour of New England – you can just hop across the Solent instead.

Blue Chip Holidays has just taken on The Curlew – a five-start holiday home clad in pretty painted clapperboard that would be equally at home on the coastlines of Maine or Massachusetts.

Available from as little as £29 per person per night, The Curlew is a short walk from the sweeping beach at Bembridge and can sleep up to nine people.

Inside, there are oak floors, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, a large dining room, two living rooms and a 42” flat screen TV with Sky and DVD player.

Upstairs are five large bedrooms. The master en-suite comes with a king-size bed, bedside tables and lights, and built in wardrobe with shelving and drawers.  Its stylish en-suite features a bath, shower, basin, heated towel rail, oak floor and washstand with mirrored cabinet.

Bedroom two is a spacious room that overlooks the pretty gardens and has a king-size bed with bedside tables and lights.  Bedroom three comes with bunk beds, bedside table, light and chest of drawers.  Both have access to the family bathroom, which has been finished with an oak floor and comes with its own bath and washstand basin.

Downstairs are two further bedrooms featuring a double bed with bedside cabinets and lights, and a single room with chest of drawers. Both rooms are served by the downstairs shower room and wc.

The Curlew can be booked from £1,829 for a week and from £794 for three nights.
