With the first signs of Spring only just breaking through, British families are taking no risks when it comes to their half term break.
Searches and bookings to May half-term holiday hot spots have increased 200 per cent this year according to lowcostholidays.com, and the site has seen a massive increase in bookings to places with guaranteed sunshine such as Majorca, The Algarve, Malta, Dubai and Barcelona.
The site’s MD Tim Buckman said: “The lack of warm weather and sunshine in the UK has driven customers online to search for guaranteed sun in the half term week. There are still some great value deals to be had across a wide range of sunny destinations as well as some really attractive City breaks.”
The latest prices from lowcostholidays.com show seven nights’ all-inclusive in a 4* hotels in Majorca from just £399 per person, including flights on May 25. City break bargains include three nights’ B&B in a 4* hotel in Barcelona from £340 per person including flights for a family of 2 adults and 2 children departing May 26.
