Free flights to the Arctic

free flights to the Arctic

If you’ve always wanted to visit the frozen north, now could be one of the best chances to do it cheaply. Hurtigruten is offering free flights to the Arctic and £250 off an April cruise to the region.

The deal is offered on the company’s 12-day Classic Round Voyage which departs next month.

The cruise will take in the changing Spring season along the Norwegian coast, heading from a Spring climate in Bergen before heading into the Arctic Circle, where signs of Winter are slower to disappear and snow caps still decorate the mountain tops. The ship will travel as far north as Kirkenes on the Russian border and there is the chance to participate in winter excursions such as dog-sled riding and snowmobile safaris.

The trip will also be the first to visit the Lyngenfjord. Flanked by the mighty, tall and steep peaks of the Lyngen Alps, the area is one of Norway’s most impressive fjords.

Departures are on April 1 or 12 from Gatwick or April 23 from Manchester. The voyage is from Bergen to Kirkness and back, stopping at 34 ports along the way.

Prices start from £1,043 per person for the April 1 departure.
