TV chef James Martin – pictured above with YourHols’ Trisha – has launched a new in-flight menu for Thomas Cook Airlines. The Saturday Kitchen chef surprised holidaymakers by helping serve the new meals on a recent flight to Larnaca in Cyprus.

Martin began working with the airline last year and his latest menu will now be on flights to 45 different destinations from UK airports.

Starting from £6 per meal, the in-flight menu features traditional dishes such as slow braised beef with bourbon glaze & baby baked potatoes, breaded chicken goujons with triple cooked chips and James’ own ketchup on the children’s menu, a twice-baked cheese souffle with roasted leeks as as vegetarian option and classic treacle sponge pudding and custard for dessert.

Martin said: “I’m really thrilled to be working with Thomas Cook Airlines for the second year running and have really enjoyed meeting passengers to hear what they think first hand. My in-flight dishes reflect the passion I have for the food I create for my own restaurants, and feedback tells me they’re going down a treat, whether people are going off on holiday or returning home.”
