TV chef, author and sustainable food expert James Strawbridge will be appearing at a Guernsey food festival in May.

The Seafront Sunday festival, takes place on weekends through the summer and over the weekend of May 16-18, will see cookery demonstrations from Strawbridge, as well as tastings of Guernsey produce, cocktail master classes, wine tastings and guided tours with island food producers.

The Strawbridge weekend will be ‘moules and mackerel’ themed based on local seafood and the chef – famed for his appearances on TV shows such as The Hungry Sailors, Saturday Farm – will create a special dish with local mussels and mackerel, Guernsey cider and samphire.

Les Rocquettes Hotel has a two-night package including a tour of the local microbrewery and other Guernsey suppliers, a three-course dinner served in the hotel restaurant, breakfast and use of the indoor pool, steam room, sauna and gym.
