Set your sights on epic movie land

The epic movie Lawrence of Arabia is re-released in cinemas this week. And to celebrate Mosaic Holidays has put together a special package so you can follow in T.E Lawrence’s footsteps through the iconic sites of Jordan, made famous by the film 50 years ago.

From the fertile Jordan Valley to remote desert canyons, visitors can explore desert castles and Roman ruins, bathe in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea or gaze at the haunting wilderness of Wadi Rum, where the majority of filming to document T.E Lawrence’s revolt against the Turks during WWI took place.

The Lawrence of Arabia story, winner of seven Academy Awards and starring Peter O’Toole and Omar Sharif (above), has been fully restored in 4K Digital and is re-released nationwide from November 23.

The Mosaic tour also includes the rose-red city of Petra, one of Jordan’s most valuable attractions and also this year celebrating the 200th anniversary of rediscovery. Petra is a breathtaking, vast and unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans, less than an hour’s drive from the magnificent desert landscape of Wadi Rum and port of Aqaba, where you’ll finish your holiday relaxing beside the Red Sea.

The seven-night tailor-made Lawrence of Arabia Adventure package costs from £1,799 per person and includes return flights, B&B accommodation, some meals and excursions. For full details of departure dates, visit www.mosaicholidays.co.uk or call 020 8574 4000.
