Slope off to ski and bike

Fancy channeling your inner Bradley Wiggins and Franz Klammer in one holiday? Powder White has launched its first Ski and Bike package, designed to add a different slant to the spring ski experience.

You can ski the slopes of renowned Austrian ski resort St Anton by morning and then as temperatures rise and slush arrives, take to the saddle to explore 200 miles of tracks and trails around the resort through areas like St Jakob, Pettnau, Flirsh and Ferwall.

Well known as one of the best high alpine resorts in the world, St Anton has a vast ski area covering the mountains beside the neighbouring resorts of St Christoph, Lech and Zurs. But there are also 200 plus miles of official mountain bike routes, making Tyrol a first-class bikers’ territory with beautiful, well signposted, designated routes offering a scenic treat.

A seven-night “Ski and Bike” trip costs from £475 per person, including a week’s stay at the Chalet Fritz on a fully catered basis, bike hire and trail maps, for April 14 arrival. New to Powder White, the 10-bedroom Chalet Fritz is full of Austrian charm, overlooking the Rendl Talabfahrt piste, only a short walk from the Rendl, Gampan and Galzig lift stations. Flights and transfers can be arranged.
