Citizens of the north beware: there’s a T-rex heading to Leeds. The terrifying flesh-eater has been confirmed as the latest addition to the Natural History Museum’s Dino Jaws exhibition which takes place from June 3 to September 7 at the New Dock Hall.

The three quarter sized dinosaur will offer an insight into how intimidatingly scary this reptile truly was and there will also be an animatronic interactive T-rex head which will show how it used to tear its prey apart with its dramatic movements and bone-crunching sound effects, while visitors will be able to test their strength against the power of the T-rex bite on the interactive bite force exhibit.

The New Dock Hall’s James Vincent said: “The T-rex is the star attraction of this blockbuster exhibition, when you think ‘dinosaurs’ the first thing you think of is the infamous, meat eating reptile.”

The exhibition will also feature a virtual dig experience and a feeding frenzy exhibit that will show how dinosaurs used to eat.

Tickets cost £5.95 per person or £22 for a family of four.  Kids 3 or under go free.
