Get ready for your fear levels to be upped a notch if you visit Orlando this Autumn. One of the world’s great sci-fi space horror films Alien Vs Predator is to star in Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror nights.
Characters from the 2004 film, which pitted two of the greatest space monsters in Hollywood history against each other – will be let loose in terrifying maze in the Halloween special nights that start on September 19.
AVP: Alien vs. Predator brought together the two iconic species spawned from two blockbuster films, Alien and Predator, to create a crossover of eponymous monsters in a raging battle against mankind – and this year is the 10th anniversary of the film, as well as the 35th anniversary of the original Alien movie.
A version of the maze will also be open to visitors to Universal Orlando’s sister park, Universal Studios Hollywood.
Greg Lombardo of Twentieth Century Fox said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Universal Studios to create mazes in Orlando and Hollywood that will bring fans face-to-face with the horrifying and iconic characters of AVP. The technology being leveraged will surely be a new benchmark and provide a uniquely terrifying and visceral encounter that puts guests right in the middle of an epic extraterrestrial battle for survival.”
In the Orlando maze, set in one of the fictional Weyland-Yutani’s secret facilities, visitors will find themselves thrust into a battle between the two creatures, who will also be hunting any humans found. The only way to survive is to navigate safely through the labyrinth.
The Hollywood maze will see people hunted after a crash landing in the American countryside.
Other announced Halloween Horror Nights experiences include, The Walking Dead: The End of the Line, From Dusk Till Dawn, and “The Purge: Anarchy.”
