Holiday cottage specialises Blue Chip Holidays is launching a series of 2015 healthy breaks.

The breaks are linked to a series of local walks around the country and designed to encourage visitors to take at least 10,000 steps a day in the run up to their break, and the campaign is in support of the NHS’ 10,000 steps initiative.  Designed to help build stamina, burn excess calories and improve heart health, the campaign aims to significantly improve overall health.

As part of the breaks, Blue Chip is giving away a £100 Berghaus voucher for each new booking made between January 3 and February 8.  The voucher can be used toward the cost of a pair of Berghaus walking boots or kit.

Long weekends for two start from £139 and cottages and holiday homes stretch from  St Ives in Cornwall to Whitby in North Yorkshire.  Walks can be found close to each holiday home on Blue Chip Holidays’ map pages for each property.

The company’s Tori Kirwan-Taylor said: ““Walking is one of the easiest ways to make a difference to your health.  It’s free, it’s accessible to all, and it can take you to some truly stunning locations with amazing views.  By having the incentive of a holiday to work towards, and some new walking boots to wear, we hope to encouraging customers to book a great British break in January and in early February when the beaches are quiet, the landscapes are dramatic, and cottages and retreats are at their cheapest.”

To claim the voucher, guests need to email a booking reference to [email protected]
