They might not be everyone’s cup of tea when it comes to somewhere to stay… but it’s hard to complain when you can bag a night for £21 in the Travelodge room sale.
The budget hotel chain is offering half a million rooms at the bargain price – for holidays between October 1 to March 2 next year. There are a couple of catches of course – you can’t book over October half term or Christmas and rooms in central London are excluded from the deal.
The rooms sleep up to two adults and two children – making a break from as little as £5.25 per person per night.

Meanwhile, the company is continuing apace with its £57m refurbishment programme – it’s 10,000th room has just been completed at the Leeds Colton Travelodge. The renovation scheme was launched in March this year and 50 rooms a day are getting the makeover.
