New York
With retailers slashing up to 80 per cent off their goods, savvy shoppers will be heading to New York to track down a bargain.
Black Friday is the only day in the year that technology giant Apple gives discounts and the New York Apple Stores, such as the one on Fifth Avenue (above) are some of the best in the world. The iconic Macy’s department store opens from 3am and offers great deals across all departments.
Bloomingdales is open from 7am and, with savings throughout, it is a great place to head, though it’s only open until 1pm. Guess is offering streetwear fashion with up to 50 per cent off. In addition to the day-long deals, the store offers doorbusters and a limited-edition leopard tote bag for those who spend $100 or more.

Chicago
The Magnificent Mile is a section of Michigan Avenue teeming with shopping, dining and entertainment offerings. There are also boutique shops throughout Chicago’s diverse neighbourhoods.

Las Vegas
After the casinos, it’s all about the shopping mall in Las Vegas, and many of them will be opening early for the Black Friday sales. Galleria at Sunset has some retailers open at midnight, with the rest opening at 5am, Boulevard and Meadows malls are open at 6am and Town Square at 7am.
In Las Vegas, the casinos aren’t just for gambling, there are even shopping centres in some of them so you can spend your winnings without having to venture far. These include Forum Shops at Caesars, The Shoppes at the Palazzo, the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, Esplanade at Wynn and Via Bellagio.
