Fancy a Scrubba?

Scrubba

If, like us, you travel a lot but want to travel light, this little gadget might just help out with the laundry. The Scrubba Washbag is an innovative product that helps get your clothes clean when on the go.

The bag’s interior is fashioned like an old-fashioned washboard, meaning you cut down on elbow grease when hand washing your smalls on hols. Pack whatever you want to wash into the bag, add water and detergent and start to rub… according to independent experts, it is three times as effective as simply handwashing.

Inventor Ash Newland came up with the idea when travelling to Mount Kilimanjaro. He says: “As clothes are rubbed along the washboard, the bumps create friction and water movement though the clothes, which assists in dislodging oils and dirt.

“You can easily wash up to three days of summer wear in one load such as three T-shirts, three pairs of socks and three pairs of pants in just five to six minutes.”

The Scrubba costs £41 and the Scrubba Kit, which includes a peg-free clothes line and microfibre towel for drying clothes, is £69.
