Haven has everything lots of dads love – fishing lakes, golf courses and real ale on tap! Seven parks have freshwater or coarse fishing lakes and all guests need is a rod licence and fishing gear.
The park at Burnham on Sea, Somerset, has three lakes and holds regular Saturday angling competitions with the largest reported fish weighing up to 32lb. Roach, tench, bream and perch are waiting to be hooked. There’s even a hut for night fishing and bird-watching.
Dads can also enjoy adventure and crazy golf to get the kids involved. But for more serious golfers, 10 parks have nine-hole courses, and Berwick has an 18-hole next to the park. A round at Haven costs from £8 per adult.
Haven’s 35 coastal parks have free kids’ clubs for all ages and family activities, a swimming complex, some with flumes, slides and splashzones. There’s also a choice of restaurants and evening entertainment.
