Follow Attenborough to Galapagos isles

Galapagos-David-Attenborough

Wildlife king David Attenborough puts the spotlight on the Galapagos islands in a new three-part TV series starting on New Year’s Day. If you are tempted to visit the archipelago in the Pacific Ocean, G Adventures is offering 15 per cent off voyages when booking by January 31 for travel before March 31.

Viewers of Galapagos 3D. beginning on Sky3D and Sky 1 at 7pm, will see David get up close to the unique species of wildlife on the islands – including Lonesome George, the famous last tortoise of his species. But he says: “If I had to pick a favourite animal from the Galapagos, it probably wouldn’t be the tortoise, but the Albatross.”

G Adventures has upgraded its fleet of vessels in the Galapagos for 2013 to meet an increase in demand to visit the remote islands. Each one caters to a slightly different market and deals include:

  • A six-day Voyage Galapagos – South Islands standard-level trip on board the Daphne ‘G3’ from £1,249 per person, now from £1,062.
