Grand Canyon trip to see the stars

Grand Canyon

Want to see stars – those which shine in the sky? Head to the Grand Canyon National Park this June for the Grand Canyon Star Party, an annual fun event where amateur astronomers share their knowledge  and telescopes with all those interested in the sky at night.

The Grand Canyon is one of the best night sky observing sites in the US because it has some of the darkest skies and cleanest air. Visitors will have the opportunity to view Saturn, along with star clusters and galaxies at night – plus the Sun and Mercury by day – at the eight-day event from June 8-15.

Bon Voyage is featuring seven-night Arizona fly-drive holidays with two nights at the Grand Canyon during ‘Party’ time, two nights at Death Valley National Park – the largest dark sky park in the world – and two nights in Phoenix, from £1,295 per person.

The twin share price throughout June includes return flights from Heathrow, Glasgow or Manchester, mid-size car hire, rustic inn and hotel accommodation and driving instructions.
