It’ll be all Wight on the bike!

White Riviera

The Wight Riviera cycling weekend is back on the Isle of Wight on May 18 and 19. And sponsor Red Funnel is offering exclusive return car ferry travel and accommodation packages from less than £67 per person.

Big Wight MTB Enduro – Saturday May 18: The weekend sees two key events on the cycling calendar. First up is the Big Wight Enduro (entrance from £13pp) which offers four well signed distance options from 25km to 90km. Whether a beginner or a seasoned amateur, each ride incorporates some of the best in mountain biking on the island, from lofty chalk downs to breathtaking sea view descents.

Wight Riviera Sportive – Sunday May 19: Miles of quiet roads, substantial hills, spectacular scenery, and a laid back coastal vibe make the Isle of Wight the perfect destination for a road cycling sportive (entrance from £38pp). The 25km closed road Avant loop at the start allows cyclists to enjoy traffic-free roads near the iconic Needles and through the attractive Freshwater Bay.

FREE Family Rides: Bringing along the family? There is also Beach to Beach ride (free to enter), a 5km cycling event suitable for all the family on both the Saturday and Sunday.

Red Funnel is offering a 2o per cent discount on self-catering accommodation at The West Bay Club and exclusive discounts off camping pitches and caravans at The Orchards Holiday Park, with discounted vehicle ferry crossings, when booking via www.redfunnel.co.uk

The West Bay Club offers luxurious self-catering cottages in the quaint harbour village of Yarmouth, close to the Wight Riviera’s start and finish line.
