Joey Essex was surprised to go to Las Vegas… and find out it was full of Americans.
The TOWIE star, who filmed episodes of the show in Sin City earlier this year, said: “Vegas is like nowhere else – pretty much every single person is American. And people there don’t know who we are either – out of 100 people there, probably five know who I am.”
Joey – famed for gaffs such as not knowing who Jesus’s mother was – says that he doesn’t mind people thinking he’s dim. “It is me being myself,” he said while promoting Las Vegas at London’s World Travel Market. “I still don’t really know what a vowel is… well I know they are letters but I don’t know which ones.
“I’ve been like this all my life, it’s been happening since I was born – and I wasn’t very good in school. But I did get a D in maths and a C in Art in my GCSEs.”
He remained tight-lipped on his on-off relationship with co-star Sam Faiers though. He said: “Me and Sam are good friends still.”
