Exploring the jungles of Ecuador, climbing volcanoes in Iceland and riding oxcarts in Mongolia are just three of the 18 new trips offered by youth specialist G Adventures.
The trips are part of the company’s Local Living programe which now includes 25 locations. The holidays are unique to G Adventures and bring travellers closee to the location and its people by embedding them in local life. Guests are based in one place where they can actively explore the culture and tastes typical of the region.
Trips are made up of small groups led by a dedicated CEO (chief experience officer).
Eighteen trips in the programme are based in Europe in 2013, with stays in Croatia, Czech Republic, France (Provence and Burgandy), Greece (Crete), Iceland, Italy (Amalfi Coast, Southern Tuscany, San Gimignano, Rome, Puglia and Sicily), Morocco (Marrakech), Spain (Andalucia, Barcelona, Costa Blanca and Ibiza) and Turkey (The Lycian Way).
Locations worldwide include Canada (Newfoundland), Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala (Antigua), Mongolia, Nicaragua (Granada), Peru (Lake Titicaca), Thailand (Chiang Mai) and South Africa (Cape Town).
Prices start from around £1,000 for seven nights, including home cooked food and various activities. International flights are extra.
