Spain is top holiday destination for Brits to get pregnant

We know the heat of holidays can people coming over all steamy but a new poll has revealed that nearly one in five British women get pregnant while on holiday. 

The survey of 2,000 respondents by Hotels.com also showed that Spain is the number one destination for making babies, with 19 per cent of those who got pregnant on holiday saying they conceived there, with ‘staycation’ baby holidays in the UK coming second with 15 per cent. France (12 per cent), Italy (nine per cent) and Portugal (seven per cent) rounded off the top five.

With rumours rife that the Royal Baby was conceived in Singapore,  the Hotels.com poll showed that Kate Middleton is the most influential celebrity for ‘conception destinations’ with five per cent of the respondents revealing they were inspired to travel to Singapore when hearing the Duchess’ news.

Kate beat other celebs who fuelled Brits’ travel choices including Victoria Beckham for Brooklyn (four per cent), Kim Kardashian for Rome (three per cent) and Beyoncé (above) for Paris (three per cent) who were all rumoured to fall pregnant while travelling.
