Book by July 5 and you can save 10 per cent on a cottage holiday with Irish Ferries. A week in August by the sea for a family of four now costs from £640 including travel.

Irish Ferries Holidays features holiday homes in 29 superb locations from Killala on County Mayo’s beautiful coast and Killaloe on Lough Derg to pretty Waterville and Dingle Harbour in County Kerry and cottages in the sunny south-east of Ireland.

All the packages are based on two adults travelling by car, with up to four children under 16 free, depending on the size of the cottage (most sleep four to six people).

Other offers include a week in a Waterville holiday home minutes from the beach in County Kerry for £893, and seven nights at Forest Haven in Dunmore East, County Waterford for £860.
