WIN Monarch flights for your school

Six hundred lucky children are to be given free flights from Monarch. The airline has launched a nationwide appeal asking head teachers to help them in their quest to make flying fun! Monarch will be taking three schools on the day trip of their lives.

The children – up to 200 from each school – will get exclusive use of a Monarch aircraft on April 24, with a range of fun activities in the air and on the ground. If one school is unable to fill 200 seats, smaller groups can be accommodated.

One flight will depart from Manchester to learn the real story of Romeo & Juliet in Verona, complemented with an acting lesson during the flight. The second will depart from Gatwick to visit the Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen with a German lesson during their flight. The third will depart from Birmingham and spend their day exploring the ancient city walls in Dubrovnik after a history lesson in the air.

The appeal is targeting secondary school children in years 7-9, aged 11-14, from anywhere in the UK. To watch the video appeal from Monarch’s star pupil, Pixie Davies visit http://youtu.be/BGRyg-0pU9U.

Monarch MD Kevin George said: “We all remember what it was like to be a child and the excitement that came with flying, so we’re proud to be promoting our campaign that ‘puts the fun back into flying’ for everyone. All schools that enter the competition will be considered and we are looking forward to receiving lots of entries.”

Head teachers need to nominate their schools by visiting www.monarch.co.uk/offers/flights/win-the-best-day-trip-ever. The closing date for entries is Friday April 5.
