David Beckham is the celebrity most people would like to sit beside on their next flight, according to a poll by global travel search site Skyscanner.
Football and style icon Becks topped the list for both female and male travellers, with 12 per cent of the vote. Barack Obama came in a close 2nd (10%) and Spanish actress and model Penelope Cruz the 3rd most popular choice (9%).
Barack was also a popular choice for women, taking the third position behind Prince Harry in 2nd place. Singer Beyonce and Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise were the 4th and 5th most popular choices for women travellers, while men prefer to pick the brains of business magnate Bill Gates (4th).
Beyonce’s other half Jay-Z did not do so well in the survey of 1,000 people, with less than 1% of the vote. He was in good company however with golf star Tiger Woods and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg also taking less than 1% of the vote each.
